You are Jean,  and you are helping your wife in her biggest
exposition in the inaugural trip on Aegis Industries' new
Zeppelin. But soon everything turns into a nightmare and
everyone loses their minds. Help Jean in a quest to exit the
airship with his wife, and his mind intact.

Displaced is an effort to create a game experience by using
non linearity concepts inside a game. We are using
non-linear narrative concepts, as opposed of non-linear
gameplay concepts. Our concept is based from hyper-comic
projects by many experimental comic artists like Daniel
Merlin Goodbrey's Tarquin engine projects, and from
non-linear projects like the novel "Hopscotch" by Julio
Cortázar.
The intention is to apply these types of non-linear
propositions in a videogame format in the best way possible.

We consider this game an experiment, and like any
experiment, it may fail. However we feel confident enough
to show this game and to verify if we achieved our goal
of making different interpretations from different people,
of the same game.

Oh, I see scoz, thank you.. yeah this is made in GM lite, and yes no extensions there... and don't have a credit card to pay fort it T_T... need to find a friend who pays it for me :P. As soon asI get Ill republish in pro and add the extension :)!

Roket integration is an extension for Game Maker, and I'm pretty sure that GM Lite doesn't take them though... this was made in lite wasn't it?

RoketGames Game Integration is available from http://www.roket-games.com/games/59.  It allows you to put asynchronous highscores and achievements in a game (e.g. An achievement for each ending achieved).

Hello :),

The problem you might be having is that you are pressing UP, then CTRL. You only have to press CTRL to make it work, since UP will only hide you and won't let interact with anything.

And also you can only interact with the glowing squares. Hope this helps :)

Oh, and BTW, how can I enable RocketGames Integration? I would like to enable it :)!

This looks to be a great game so far, but I cant seem to figure out how to interact with stuff. I press control and nothing happens. Keep up the good work, and possibly add RoketGames Integration! ;)

It is actually randomized, there are some restrictions on some chapters, but not that much. It was a very rushed project (less than two months) so it is not the super gameplay wise game, but I hope the concept behind it is interesting enough to appreciate future endeavors in this subject. I would like to make another game around non linearity concepts soon actually :)

I don't really understand it on my first playthrough, but I'm sure I'll work it out on the second.  Did you completely randomize the chapters, or does the sequence depend on the number of times the user has already played it?
