Game Integration Version 2

NEW: Beta 1 is officially released!

Version 2 is a complete rewrite of the Game Integration system.  Beta 1 is up to 3x faster than any other leading highscores and achievements system and currently has the following features implemented:

  • Fully asynchronous highscores and achievements.
  • Tracer tables, to allow you access to asynchronous SQL databases for storing any kind of data.  Image data is also automatically converted into Sprites for easy-of-use.
  • Much faster transmission system using a custom-built end server, maintaining a connection which allows for 3x faster requests.

 I love the Integration System!  It's so easy to implement and it isn't in the way or anything.

There's lots of plans for this.  I need to get around to doing them (actually I might work on it for the next two hours... :' ).

  • Multiple highscore lists
  • Achievement icons
  • Tracer tables (allow you to store and retrieve custom data)
  • More achievement management functions
  • Ability to set the highscore to display in time mode, and change the order of highscores (ascending, descending)

Forgot to comment on this when it first came out. Great idea and a nice execution of it. Looking forward to more games with the integration. Any plans to allow icons for achievements (as in those for the Xbox 360) outside of the game (on the achievements page)?
